The Swift Fox

One of our partners paid us a visit this morning.

It’s hard to tell Kit foxes from Swift foxes and they are known to inter-breed but this fella was bigger than most Kit’s and had dark face markings so we’ll call him a Swift. He was perched in our hay barn next to the tack room soaking up the morning sun as it was a chilly morning.  Our dogs barking and me standing 10 feet away were not a concern.

Partner visits can be a mixed bag. Several of our barn cats have recently gone missing. Perhaps Mr. or Ms. Fox was so docile because he was digesting a cat?
